TRIPPLE THREAT

I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!

World Cup Soccer is coming, are you ready…

On the eve of the World Cup I thought about what makes soccer so boring in the states. Then it came to me. Watching soccer is like watching JV girls basketball. The similarities are so blatant. Here are a few that came to mind. Feel free to add any on.

1. The ball crosses half court and back like 20-30 times before anyone actually makes a shot on goal much less scores.

2. There always seems to be people on the floor crying from what is seams career ending injuries, that is, until you see them running full speed 5 minutes later.

3. Touch fouls seem to always turn into master piece theater.

4. When someone finally scores everyone celebrates like its the first goal they have ever scored or the first goal they have every seen some one else score, or they just realized that the ball fits in the net. Either way, scoring the first point/goal half way through the game should not be cheered. We should boo for not scoring more.

5. The luck factor. It seem that when ever someone scores, it went in because God allowed it and not because they deserved it. God can’t bear to watch scoreless games as much as the next person.

6. Everyone has a pony tail or uni-sex headband on to hold back the drapes.

Crazy right? The similarities are staggering when you line them up.

Can you think of any other similarities?
